I’ve just filmed another walk-through video on YouTube this time of my recent 7×10 spiral Alpha. Click on the image above or here to watch. I hope that you enjoy it.
Articles explaining more about the pages in this book can be found here.
Thank you for the ideas. For me size determines if I like spiral or perfect binding. In large formats like A4 or A3 I’m not going to need to go across pages so being able to fold the “other” side to the back is great for handling. In smaller A6, A5 and square 5.5×5.5 and below I usually want to go across pages so perfect bound sewed and glued books work best. Size B5, 7×9 – 8×10 are in the sweet zone in between. I don’t have to go across pages often but sometimes I want to. Sigh!
Hi John – yes, as I’ve recently appreciated anew, the size and format have a huge impact on the useability of spiral – much more important than in a normal bound book.

Thank you for sharing. So many tips and great ideas on how you think through the design of your pages.
My pleasure Frannie!
