I had the most wonderful morning sketching on Saturday with the USK SYD gang along Mrs Macquarie’s Road. The weather was gorgeous, the scenery stunning (I never get tired of Sydney Harbour) and the company great.
Chris had designed a sketch challenge for us for the morning – one from three different spots along the peninsula with 30-40 minutes at each location. The first one looking east towards Garden Island, the second at the historic Mrs Macquarie’s chair and the third looking west to the classic view of the Sydney Opera House with the Sydney Harbour Bridge behind it.
This is a photo taken from the second location.
A fun morning, sketching, catching up with friends, meeting new people and just generally having a wonderful time.
Thanks Chris for organising a great day – click here for more details about USK SYD.

I love the sketch of the Opera house. It’s so fresh and dynamic. Thanks for sharing.
