Just a quick note to let you know that I am on another Sabbatical this week, so there will be no blog posts till next Monday.
Due to a few engagements that were locked in before I decided to do the sabbatical thing, I have been unable to stick to the 7-week cycle. It has ending up been a solid 8 weeks of work (including moving home!) and in a word I’m exhausted.
Despite all the work I have piled up, it is good to force myself to have a break, recharge my batteries and create some space to think. It’s not a complete break from work (ie. vacation) rather it is a chance to catch up on other things and think through what I plan to achieve in my next 6-week block.
Have a great week!
PS. Despite the big #oneweek100people2017 being over, I still managed to sketch 12 people during Day 1 of my sabbatical. Gotta keep going and make it a regular habit.
PPS. I am pretty excited also because yesterday I visited a new cafe with more people, better coffee, and nice saucers!

Am so happy you found a cafe with better saucers. I was really tired of the black cups and glasses! Ha!
Dear Liz,
I have enjoyed taking one of your courses, and love the blog.
But, at 76, I have discovered the bliss of time to myself. Your sabbaticals are a very sensible, healthy idea, as long as you enjoy them guilt-free!.
We will all benefit when you bounce back, refreshed,
With best wishes from snowy Brooklyn in New York,
Beverly
Come back refreshed and energised.
Good for you for recognizing the need for a Sabbatical (Sabbath). Enjoy your time and come back to us refreshed. Best wishes.
