Sketching Lucca Workshop

March 14, 2016 |

NOTE: This workshop is currently full up but I am still taking names on the waiting list.

I am pleased to announce a new 2 day on location sketching workshop in Lucca, Italy!

Join me for 2 full days of instruction in Lucca –  a beautiful town in Tuscany known for its well preserved city walls and gorgeous historical city centre.

  • We will be looking at essential techniques for sketching out on location, putting my Foundations concepts into practice on a range of subject matter.
  • There will be a special emphasis on quick sketching – perfect for when we are on-the-go in daily life or while travelling.
  • We will also explore how to choose what to draw within the available time we have, and special strategies to tackle complex subjects.
  • This will not be a ‘how to’ watercolor workshop –  instead I will be sharing concepts that you will be able to apply to your own way of working. I will be demonstrating using ink and wash, but it is important to bring the materials you are comfortable withusing.

This workshop will be suitable for any level of experience. There is so much in Lucca to inspire that we will find something for everyone to draw.
