I don’t make a big deal about Christmas (if you are surprised by this, please check out this article for an explanation), but I do love sketching Christmas trees!
I don’t have a Christmas Tree myself but this is the one I’ve seen the most often in past weeks. It’s fun to use primary red and those artificial greens that never look right in landscapes.
I did this sketch with my eyes in a relaxed state (ie. half focused) and now that I’ve uploaded it I can see lots of areas where I could have refined it a little. But I want to share it with you as it is – the moment when my flow stopped and I thought it looked ok.
