Life is getting a bit out of hand so I took the opportunity of a quiet Saturday afternoon to finish the challenges off – I know it is not quite in the spirit to rush the end…but I didn’t want to miss out on the last one and it might not get done if I leave it to next week.
Thanks to everyone that has joined in the fun this month – it has been unbelievably inspiring and a total buzz!!!
So here is EDM 31 – Something I collect…
Filled sketchbooks!
Funny that I was obsessed with the uniform row of watercolour moleskines when I started but once I broke the mould I like the randomness of my shelves. Covering the current books that I use is a great way of remembering what is in each (I had to cover them as the are not robust enough to survive my usage of them)
EDM 30 – A chair
Tragically the Teahouse was full when I arrived so I had no choice of my seat let alone a good view of one of the fancy chairs. This view is not quite right as I was poking my head out to look around the corner at it. Of course I drew my tea cup as well!
EDM 29 – Something architectural
Now this was hard deciding and I then pushed myself to work as fast as I could. Pity I didn’t think about my use of colour first (if I could I would redo the colour!!!!) Vivaldi’s first movement of Winter was my theme piece of music when I was in Venice at Xmas time a few years ago – hence background music – certainly affected the speed at which my hand moved!!!

This is part of the Everyday in May challenge – drawing something every day
in May. A group of us thought it would be fun to do a Everyday Matters (EDM)
challenge each day using EDM 1-31. The list is here

A beautiful end to the month. I love all these.
Thank you for suggesting we did this, I've not quite got to the end, but hope to this week.
A truly gorgeous month of work here, Liz. I love that you work in your sketchbooks. I buy them and screw up a page and never touch them again. Each of your EDM pieces has been magnificent.
Oh Liz, thank you, thank you, thank you for organizing this. I didn't get every day done, but, more than I would of had we not tried this. I still am going to try to finish all even if I go a little into June.
Liz, your work is so amazing and inspiring. It has the look of an artist and the look of an architect. No wonder you do so well. You have a gift of talent to treasure
So what are you doing for June? Can I play?
thanks everyone
@mimitabby- I have having a quiet June- in fact a week off posting this week!
Now that's quite the collection of sketchbooks! Amazing work, as always!! =)
