I am still recovering from the excitement and big push of a launch of a SketchingNow course (if you somehow missed it check out Edges here), so here is another quick post today sharing the cuppa sketch I did the night before, when everything was in hand (but not all action items were completed). It was fun to tackle ‘my most sketched-cup’ again – I have used it numerous times in my face-to-face workshops/classes to explain important concepts including edges.
I was working extremely wet so it was a classic case of just leaving the paint alone to see what the result would be. Ideally I should have kept a closer eye on the washes while they were drying but I needed to get back to work.
Here is a photo of the page in my sketchbook with notes about my feelings. I think they speak for themselves.
And for my coffee-drinking readers, here is my sketch from the morning of the launch – I was finding it hard to focus and concentrate on the planning work I wanted to do but I always make time to sketch my latte!
Big sigh of relief and satisfaction! I have ticked off another one of my big projects for this year, so now I just have to finish writing my book. Then I can get back to some sketching and move onto three ‘new’ (possibly) even more exciting projects. These projects are particularly special as they incorporate a number of the top 5 things I like to do and there are some lovely overlaps between the three.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who has enrolled for Edges. I do hope you enjoy the course and get as much out of it as I did when I was putting it together.
