Just for a bit of fun, I thought I would share some highlights from the year that is almost gone – and today I want to look at my teacup sketches.
This opening image contains my favourite four sketches, but I have many more ‘home cuppa sketches’ that I have enjoyed sketching.
Doing a very quick review I have found approx 100 different teacup sketches which is close to the number I guessed – on average two cuppa sketches a week!
And a few more …hmm, I haven’t drawn every cup in my collection this year.
And here are a few from being out at some Sydney cafes…
And finally a few from my travels to Tasmania, Melbourne, Singapore, Cambodia and Norfolk Island.
So although the same subject matter, there is a lot of variety… sigh! I never get sick of sketching my cups of tea!

wow – these are so lovely. documenting the best part of ones day! Thanks for sharing.
As a tea drinker I love your tea cup sketches. Please continue to post them.
Beautiful watery sketches, and what a great theme: close to hand but always new. And what a fab teacup collection you must have! I collect Buddha's…maybe I should start painting them.
thanks Quiltin Mama! The calmest moment of my day anyway….
thanks Jo – always great to hear from a fellow tea drinker and never fear, I can't image stopping sketching teacups soon!
thanks Laura!
Your tea cup collection must be gorgeous. They are all so beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing few more this year. 🙂
