Continuing an old tradition of doing a teacup sketch on my return home after a big trip… here is a version of my Royal Albert Lady Carlyle. Click here to see an older version.
I’ve had to have a few very quiet days due to some post-trip illness but I hope to find a rhythm to keep up my sketching now that I’m back home. It’s hard when I’ve been sketching non-stop for 2.5 months for it to dry up suddenly. I have a few strategies in this place which I hope to share with you soon.
But first I have to get stuck into finishing off my articles from the trip itself. So tomorrow I will finally start sharing my Porto adventures.

Didn’t you bring back a new teacup & saucer from this trip?
No Cherly – I rarely do! Definitely no spare luggage space this time.
Welcome back. I wonder if you might create a teacup, high tea type online class? I’m terrible at buildings but I love vintage teacups.
Hi Colette – its on the radar for ‘one day’
