Well…not quite but at least my kit is finally together.

Well here is my last post before I start on my long journey to Brazil for the 5th International Urban Sketchers Symposium in Paraty.

It is quite amazing that I only put my art kit together in the last day – this is something I usually do at least a week before as it makes me excited – so this time the whole trip hasn’t seemed real till today.

I never thought I would get to go Brazil, to see Rio. So I am finding it hard to believe that my bags are packed for this particular trip. The USK symposiums are incredible events – I am one of only a handful of people that have been to all of them. I am particularly excited because this year there is more travel with Urban Sketchers before and afterwards. So I will have good sketching company the whole time.

I will be posting at a regular rate as much as I can – sharing my work, where I am and who I am with. But I will not be posting these to this blog (too hard to do it properly via a phone). Instead I have included a flickr slideshow at the top so that you can see my latest postings from flickr. I have also pre-scheduled a few “Rewind! Symposium” posts during my absence – that will come through on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the next 3 weeks
