A very wet Thursday here in Sydney – I think it’s rained all day long! I’ve been flat out doing back-of-house work for Foundations but I did manage to have a break this afternoon for a quick cuppa tea and sketch.

Having fun exploring ways of combining watercolour and watercolour pencil in this one.

If I want to retain the pencil lines/texture, I have to use the lightest pressure possible when painting over them.

I’m liking the glow of the yellow pencil lines visible through the watercolour shadow wash!
